Engineering or related degree with 10+ years LEAN experience along with 5+ years of management experience at a medical device manufacturer required.  Experience initiating Lean and Six Sigma programs required.  Relocation paid.

Summary:

Identify, support, and drive Lean improvement opportunities that will enhance the company’s operational performance across the surgical manufacturing organization. This role will direct efforts in driving Lean performance improvement and facilitate cultural integration of Lean to achieve targeted business results, converting opportunity into reality

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 
  • Leads, develops, coordinates, and executes site’s Lean Implementation across operations workstreams.
  • Facilitates continuous improvement interventions throughout all value streams, including Supply Chain.
  • Driving a lean culture across all workstreams and create a high sense of engagement through all levels of the organization
  • Provides leadership on Lean thinking, lean processes, and lean production
  • Disseminates and acts upon the relevant industry and corporate benchmarking data

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Degree in Engineering, Science, or analytical discipline with at least 15 years of relevant experience of which 8 years in management.
  • Thorough understanding of Lean and 6 Sigma principles with appropriate certifications.  Lean Masters and 6 Sigma Black Belts preferred.
  • Candidates that have been part of previous lean transformations preferred.
  • Change Management
  • Proven experience facilitating Kaizen projects to achieve business results.
  • Bilingual – English & Spanish a plus
  • Experience with Oracle is preferred.
  • Experienced in successfully deploying Continuous Improvement programs (Lean and Six Sigma) in an operations environment.
  • Project and facilitation experience in a heavily matrixed environment.
  • Candidates with experience as an IE/Manufacturing/ME, Lean Manufacturing Manager, or Business improvement Manager in high volume, high-technology environment preferred.
