Job Description
- Under general supervision, applies moderate to high level understanding of purchasing techniques and principles to purchase a variety of materials, equipment and supplies necessary for the operation of the Company.
- Provides analytical and planning support that drive improvements to reduce costs throughout the supply chain.
- Reviews requisitions, quotes and interviews vendors to obtain best quality, price and delivery.
- Reviews proposals from one or more vendors.
- Observes and follows budgetary limitations.
- Ensures adherence to contractual agreements, purchase orders, regulations and company polices.
- Responsible for executing, independently, development tasks of medium to large scope and complexity.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+Yrs
- BS/BA or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Direct Buying of Medical Device/Surgical products
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Solid organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multitask
- Professional and positive attitude
- Buying experience in a low volume high mix-manufacturing environment preferred
- Working knowledge of Oracle and or equivalent ERP system
- Experience with Microsoft office software with proficiency in Excel Buying experience in a low volume high mix-manufacturing environment preferred
